I have attached the document in case you lost it or your dog accidentally ate it. :)

A weekly summary/reflection of your experience as an artist in progress is due every Monday unless otherwise instructed. This means I want you to reflect on the prior week's activities, discussions, performances, readings of plays, new knowledge learned and/or any special moments that may have happened in class. Consider how these experiences helped you to grow as an artist in progress. Did a particular activity surprise you, amaze you, scare you? Did a particular activity bring you closer to the truth of acting and theater? Were you able to become a character or empathize with characters in plays we have read in class? This reflection is a place for you to be free, open and truthful with yourself as a student, actor and person. Use your best writing skills. I recommend that you type all journals in a WORD document and save them by each date in a Stage folder then copy and paste it into this blog. You will be able to have an account of each reflection and you will find it much easier to edit while in a Word program. You will receive a weekly grade for the depth, insight and skill you put into each reflection. I want to be able to read your words and see the growth you have made from week to week. I want you to enjoy this opportunity to reflect on your growth as an artist and a human being! Break a leg!
No blog reflection is required for these dates since it was such a short week. Your main objective is to complete the plot blueprint guidelines handout that I distributed before break. You must email the document to Tonya and me. She will be in class again on Wednesday and Thursday. Please be respectful and give her time to read over your ideas so make sure this is turned in on time. The due date is Monday, January 5. NO EXCUSES... you had all break to complete this and I have only received one email. I have attached the document in case you lost it or your dog accidentally ate it. :) ![]()

Hi everyone... This was a short week. We watched a portion of the spoken word documentary and then I went over some play writing background before the half day workshop with Tonya. On Wednesday, you participated in the half day workshop. Please respond to all of these things. Your spoken word will not be due until Wednesday, December 3. Tonya will be joining us on Thursday. Enjoy the rest of the break!! Get some 💤 😜 Sorry for the technology issues. I hope this is finally without glitches. Make sure to respond on intro to Our Town, our field trip and your take on the play and on the spontaneous radio drama," Zero Hour." |
QuayWhen I see my students act in the classroom and on stage it's as if I am right there with them. There's no greater feeling than to watch them sparkle in their own way. It's magical really! :) Categories |
